Being involved as change agents in our practice is a component in the professional role of the nurse. How does quality improvement (QI), evidence-based practice (EBP), and research differ? How are they connected? Please include a quality improvement project you have been involved with, or aware of within your nursing practice. What is the purpose of benchmarking? How is benchmarking valuable or not valuable?
Initial post must be an in-depth critical analysis of a quality improvement project. How was the issue identified? What stakeholders were or should have been involved and why? How was information collected? Evaluated? Outcome?
If not involved in a QI project, what change in your nursing practice would benefit from a QI project and why? How would you move forward with a QI project?
A minimum of one peer-reviewed reference to support your understanding is required.
